Your First 5-Minute Everyday Makeup Routine

Think you need an hour to do your makeup? Think again. A simple, polished everyday look is totally achievable in just 5 minutes — once you know the steps and have the right tools. Here's your go-to beginner routine that you can do every single day.

What You'll Need

Before we start, gather these basics: a foundation or tinted moisturizer, concealer, a blush or bronzer, a neutral eyeshadow, mascara, and a lip product. Our Soft Start Collection has everything you need in one place.

Step 1: Even Out Your Skin (1 minute)

Apply a light layer of foundation or tinted moisturizer using a flat foundation brush or your fingers. Focus on areas that need coverage — don't cake it on everywhere. Dot concealer under your eyes and on any blemishes and blend with a small brush or fingertip.

Step 2: Add a Little Color (1 minute)

Smile and sweep a soft blush onto the apples of your cheeks, blending upward toward your temples. This instantly makes you look awake and healthy. Use a fluffy blush brush from our Beginner Brush Bundle for the most natural finish.

Step 3: Quick Eye Look (2 minutes)

Sweep a neutral eyeshadow across your lid using a flat shader brush. Then take a fluffy blending brush and blend the edges so there are no harsh lines. Finish with one coat of mascara — wiggle the wand at the root and pull upward for maximum lift.

Step 4: Finish Your Lips (30 seconds)

Swipe on a tinted lip balm or a nude lipstick. This ties the whole look together and makes it feel intentional and complete.

Step 5: Set and Go (30 seconds)

Spritz a setting spray to lock everything in place and give your skin a fresh, dewy finish. That's it — you're done!

Practice Makes Perfect

The first time might take 10 minutes. That's okay. The more you practice this routine, the faster and more confident you'll get. Start with our Soft Start Collection and Beginner Brush Bundle — everything you need to nail this routine from day one.
